ISG Pearce Lecture Theatres - University of Bath
Complex detailing and a demanding programme were amongst some of the challenges faced by main contractor ISG Pearce during the recent refurbishment of Building 5 West Lecture Theatres at the University of Bath.
As their appointed subcontractor, in-house CAD design facilities and an extensive product range enabled Techniglaze to successfully combine high performance CWCT Approved Curtain Walling system with bespoke Insulated Aluminium Pressings, Polyamide Thermally Broken Casements, High Usage Entrance Doors and Thermally Broken Sloping Glazing to provide the contractor with a complete solution.
Incorporating Self-Cleaning and Solar Control Glazing, the installation was completed on time and represents a significant part of the overall investment by the University in bringing the Lecture Theatre facilities up to modern standards.

Cowlin Construction - Southern Cross Nursing Home, Wells
Techniglaze were the first choice of Yeovil based contractor Cowlin
Construction for the manufacture and installation of 280 Polyester
Powder Coated Aluminium Windows and 75 Residential Doorsets at their
prestigious Southern Cross Nursing Home development in Wells, Somerset.
Designed specifically with the needs of the elderly in mind, the
installation will also comprise commercial quality aluminium fire
exits, automated entrances and shaped curtain walling assemblies, all
to meet a demanding on-site schedule.

Cowlin Construction - Bonhay Road, Exeter
Students in Exeter have benefited from a significant new development that provides them with accomodation in Bonhay Road, thanks to regional property investment company Signpost Homes.
Techniglaze (Devon) Ltd were chosen by main contractors Cowlin Construction to manufacture and install in excess of 360 windows, commercial entrance doors and screens within a demanding 12 week on-site programme period.
Combining a structural timber frame and a renderflex external envelope, the design solution developed by Heighway Field Associates enabled a fast-track build within a very confined site. Nestled between a busy main road and a railway line, the glazing system has been designed specifically to provide enhanced levels of thermal and acoustic performance to ensure end-user comfort.
