Solar control glazing

Solar control glass helps to regulate the internal temperature of a building. It allows light from the sun to pass into the building while reflecting away a large amount of the sun’s heat.

Creating a comfortable environment

Solar control glazing features a solar control coating designed into the glass. It helps to stop the build-up of heat during the Summer by reflecting the sun’s UV rays. It is particularly suited for use in conservatories or large glazed sections on offices and commercial buildings where the sun can cause the building’s interior to become uncomfortably warm. It also works inversely. During the colder Winter months, solar control glass helps to retain internal heat, reducing energy bills, and creating a more comfortable interior space. Solar control glass can be tinted to reduce light transmission. Coatings are available in neutral, tinted, or high reflectance options depending on your building’s use.
